1. 大型厚壁型鑄件鑄造：鉻礦砂配合砂型鑄造、呋喃樹(shù)脂自硬砂、水玻璃自硬砂等工藝，用于體積重量大的鑄鐵件和鑄鋼件，可以使鑄件按既定的順序進(jìn)行冷卻，有利于提高鑄件內(nèi)部的緊密度，增強(qiáng)鑄件的強(qiáng)度。此外，對(duì)于使用硅砂的工藝，可在容易出現(xiàn)氣孔、脈紋的關(guān)鍵部位，使用鉻礦砂作為面砂代替硅砂，可以有效防止裂紋、氣孔等鑄造缺陷。2. 消失模鑄造。在消失模鑄造中，選用鉻礦砂，可以防止石英砂鑄造造成的夾砂、粘砂等缺陷。用于制造高鉻鑄鋼、高錳鋼材質(zhì)的閥門(mén)、葉輪等鑄件。
